What We Do

Mission Statement

The Rylee Grace Foundation is set to partner with pediatric oncology and radiology departments throughout Northern and Southern California. Our mission is to offer support in terms of resources, enhance awareness about pediatric cancer, and conduct direct outreach to donors, all with the aim of providing financial aid to families bravely facing the challenges of pediatric cancer.

Help Provide Families in Need

Navigating through Pediatric Cancer can be a daunting journey. We are committed to providing support to families in need during these tough times in the following ways.

small acts of kindness

Rylee was an incredibly kind, compassionate, and happy person. She always led with her heart and tried to brighten the day of anyone she met. She was like a rainbow, spreading beautiful light wherever she went. She was happiest when she was making others happy and was known for giving away her favorite toys or artwork just to bring a smile to someone else’s face. She lived by the “pay it forward” philosophy, and we are committed to continuing her legacy of love.

Our organization is dedicated to honoring Rylee’s memory by supporting children who are battling cancer. We recognize that these young patients are facing some of the most challenging journeys of their lives, but we believe that their dreams and wishes should never be put on hold. With the help of our generous donors and sponsors, we aim to make their wishes come true, even in the midst of illness and treatment.

Our mission is to ensure that no child affected by cancer feels alone. We understand the overwhelming and distressing nature of fighting cancer and aim to provide some moments of joy, love, and kindness to these patients by granting their wishes. We work in partnership with hospitals and local child life programs to fulfill small wishes of pediatric oncology patients. To better understand their preferences, we ask each patient to imagine themselves walking through a large box store and choose one item they would like. By doing so, we gain insights into their personalities, interests, and desires, which helps us to tailor our efforts to bring happiness into their lives.  Our mission is to inspire others to follow Rylee’s example and spread kindness and compassion wherever they go.

Direct Donations and Mental Health Resources

Mental Health

Mental health is a crucial aspect of our overall well-being, yet many families struggle to access the necessary resources and professional help. Direct donations can play an instrumental role in bridging this gap, especially for those grappling with conditions such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma, and other mental health challenges. Moreover, direct donations can also facilitate access to child life specialists and art therapists. Child life specialists are trained professionals who help children and their families manage the stress and uncertainty associated with healthcare experiences. They provide age-appropriate explanations, prepare children for medical procedures, and offer therapeutic play to promote effective coping.

Direct Donations

We provide direct financial assistance to families for travel and accommodation expenses related to pediatric treatments. For instance, a family from Northern California may need to travel to Southern California to access treatment at CA Proton, which offers the best pencil beam radiation in the state. Pencil beam radiation is highly effective as it precisely targets the tumors without affecting the surrounding tissues, allowing doctors to administer higher doses safely. This direct aid helps alleviate some of the financial burdens families face while seeking the best possible care.

Chemo Zip UP Sweatshirts

Chemotherapy sweatshirts can be a game changer for pediatric patients. These zip up sweatshirts provide easy access to the port, typically positioned beneath the skin on either side of the Childs chest. The zip sweatshirt can provide warmth in a cold hospital, comfort and mostly they provide dignity of young patients during their challenging journey.
